Sara Nourizadeh is a Freelance Welsh-Iranian Producer, Director and Writer working across film, television and branded content.

Her BBC documentary Finding Hope earned her a BAFTA Cymru Breakthrough nomination. She is also a BBC New Voices writer and is directing one of this year’s It’s My Shout films.

Sara’s debut narrative short Marriage Test, backed by BFI Network and Ffilm Cymru Wales, draws on her parents’ cross-cultural love story and is set in 1980s Cardiff. The film is currently on the festival circuit, with selections including Sunrise Film Festival and Love Is Film, and a Raindance longlisting.

Alongside her narrative work, Sara directs commercial campaigns for global brands, with projects recognised by Digiday and the Telly Awards.

Sara is currently developing her first feature, FRANK, as well as a new crime thriller, The Escobars of Ealing, and is in early development on a stage adaptation of Marriage Test.
